Spirit Week Dates Changing!
Do you want your child to participate in spirit week??
Spirit week has changed to October 8th.
Monday October 8th- Pajama Day... yes I said it, pajama's, please be sure they are not see through or shorts that are too short.
Tuesday October 9th-Backwards Day... wear your clothes backwards.
Wednesday October 10th- Dress in Green Day
Thursday October 11th- Dress in Black Day
Friday October 12th- Spirit Wear Day
Please remember that students still need to wear tennis shoes on PE days. These days will be Tuesday, and Thursday....
Progress Reports
Haye's will be sending home progress reports this year...what a great practice for everyone envolved. The benefit is that you will be well aware of your child's progress and know what is coming when report card time rolls around. The school will be sending the reports out on Wednesday! I on the other hand am using this week to finish up assessments due to my maternity leave and will be sending progress reports home Monday September 24th. Make sure you are looking for them in your child's Monday folder.
Box Tops for Education
Please collect your boxtops at home, every month there is a contest for the class with the most boxtops gets the boxtop bear and a special treat! Also we get our name read on annoucements.... how cool!

The word of the week for September 10th is: Honesty
Honesty is telling the truth and using good judgement.
I show honesty when I told my mother that I broke her vase instead of blaming it on the dog.

Thank to everyone who came out to Open House September 4th. I had a great time seeing everyone and I had a great time taking the parents through an activity that will encourage their children when the time comes.

Please remember that it's important for your child to be at school daily and be there on time. It is soooo important that children have structure and this is a great place to have structure on a daily basis and have fun doing it. Of course in case of illness, emergency or appointment tardiness and absents are expected.
