Welcome to the blog for Ms.Devine's First Grade Class!

My students are so smart, every lesson they do pass!

I live in Kennesaw, but am a northern girl at heart.

I moved from New York when I was 15, which made for quite a fresh start.

I was a Harrison Hoya until 1999,

studying for tests, gym class in the dome.

From there I graduated from Kennesaw State. . .

Can you tell I like to stay close to home?

In my 3 years of teaching I have stayed quite busy-

Receiving my Masters Degree,

and being a teacher of the year nominee.

My favorite place is Bahama Breeze

(all of my friends can be a witness)

Which also leads me to the gym to improve on my fitness!

I am not married, nor do I have any kids quite yet,

For now my class is enough,

each child being my own class pet.

My classroom is filled with pink and green,

For most people it is the brightest sight they have ever seen.

From a bright pink birthday chair to a day of  "Spa Devine",

From a reading cage to poetry notebooks teaching us to rhyme.

We have so much fun the whole school year through,

Learning and laughing, never running out of fun things to do.
