I have included below to complete the Government Scavenger Hunt. You will also get a
Government Note Taking Sheet.
Your goals today are:
1) Complete the Government Scavenger Hunt
2) When you are finished you can go to "Top-the-Teacher" at the Times News for Kids website, under games.

Civil War Journal
Today we are going to read and write about the civil war.

1) First you can read examples of journal entries from the Civil War
2) Next go to write a journal entry. Don't forget that you will need a journal title. You can get
ideas from the samples provided. Your journal entry should be 5 sentances.
3) When you are finished, you can design a Civil War room.
4) In a few days, go back to the website and read your journal entry by searching by state or grade level.
