THANKSGIVING DINNERS

It's that time of year when we begin to think of those less fortunate families who will be in need of a Thanksgiving meal.

This year we are collecting money in the classrooms to fund one Publix coupon for a Thanksgiving Dinner per classroom. That means if each child would bring at least $1.00, we could make this happen.
Look for more information to come home regarding this project with your child.

Teresa Siragusa and Debbie Ross - PTSA community outreach leaders will help us get this project off the ground. Thanks Ladies!!

This month in guidance...

This month in guidance we are talking aobut Tolerance! We're learning what we can gain from one another and how dull the world would be without diversity.

We're looking forward to Celebrating "National MIXITUP at Lunch Day" on November 14th. Our 4th and 5th graders along with some KMHS students as well as community leaders will mix it up and make new friends at lunch. Parents, if you are interested in helping with this event please contact me at the guidance office - 678-594-8130 X1.

Thanks,
Missy Owen

The IQ Answer

Have you ever felt like you’re running in place and going nowhere? What if you could learn some critical keys for increasing your intelligence? Dr. Phil, along with Dr. Frank Lawlis, chairman of the Dr. Phil Advisory Board and author of The IQ Answer, gives you practical techniques to maximize your full potential.

Waking Up is Hard to Do

Elizabeth says she’s tried everything to wake up her daughter, Miranda, in the morning — massaging her feet, splashing water on her face, even blasting rap music! Miranda says she can sleep up to 17 hours straight, and has lost five jobs due to her tardiness.

Test-Taking Terror

Faith says her 17-year-old daughter, Myia, panics before taking tests. She gets headaches, stomachaches, and often comes home crying.

“We’re Going to Activate Their Brains”

Three teens were struggling in high school and in danger of failing. Dr. Frank Lawlis met with the kids using exercises from his new book, The IQ Answer.

Dr. Phil's Turn

Dr. Phil says he has trouble remembering the simplest things, and wonders if he needs The IQ Answer.
