Mrs. Parker

I am enjoying teaching  ALP class this year.  After teaching 3rd and 4th graders for the past 18 years, I am happy to focus on teaching Target.  My teaching experiences have been in the Jefferson City School system and in various schools within Cobb County.  For the last nine years, I had the opportunity to work at Cheatham Hill Elementary.  While there, I usually had 23- 28 students each year.  Out of those 28 students, I would have a cluster of 3-17 Target students.  Working with those students each year helped me realize that I wanted to be a full-time ALP teacher.  Though I have had my gifted endorsement for several years, I decided at the end of last year that the time was right to make a change.

I am married to David Parker, and we have one daughter.  Isabella is almost four years old.  She keeps us busy and laughing each day.  I love flowers, gardening, warm weather, the beach, music, cooking, reading mysteries, and watching LOST.  Walks are good, too.

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia. I have earned my Master's Degree, gifted endorsement, and the Teacher Support Specialist endorsement.

Hello and welcome to my blog!
